Hiding Final Cut Pro X 10.1.2 has a delay on external display

Symptoms

When you hide Final Cut Pro X 10.1.2 while using an external HDMI display, the display might fade to white or turn gray for two seconds before Final Cut Pro X hides.

Resolution

1. Open System Preferences.


2. Choose Mission Control.


3. Deselect the option “Displays have separate Spaces.”


4. Log out of OS X and then log in.
