iPad Air 2 World’s Thinnest Tablet With No 16GB Option For Buyers

Now that we have all had time to recover from the release of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, it is time to focus on the next big Apple release and this is the next generation of iPad and iPad mini. This is set to be announced during a special event on the 16th of October. We are going to get two new iPads, with the iPad Air and the iPad mini getting a makeover.

Details have been leaking out about what the new updates will mean for the new tablets and new details that have come out of The Michael Report that was revealed via MacDaily News have shown that Apple are banking on the lack of girth for the iPad Air to be very popular with buyers. Apple is reported to be set to announce the Air specifically as the world's thinnest tablet. Will it be? We don't know yet, but we can't wait to find out.

The claim is being made that the 0.5mm reduction in thickness will make it the thinnest ever and this has been made possible by removing the hardware mute/rotation lock switch that has been around since the very first iPad. New, more recessed volume buttons as well as relocated microphones are also said to be on the agenda. Another thing that you really should know is that the iPad Air 2 will come in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. There won't be a 16GB model this time around.

The iPad mini 3 is to retain the 16GB option for those on a tighter budget and of course the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus also have the 16GB option but there is no 32GB option which has made the 64GB model a more popular option thanks to the relatively small price difference between it and the 16GB option. The new iPads will be announced next week and we can't wait to see what you all think of them. The iPad Air 2 is also said to be coming with an 8MP camera and we can't wait to test it out and see how it differs from its predecessor.
