Apple's iPhone 5c 'failure flop' outsold Blackberry, Windows Phone and every Android flagship in Q4

From the constant harping about the supposed "failure" of Apple's iPhone 5c, you'd think the phone is selling poorly. The reality is that middle tier model, while dramatically less popular than Apple's top of the line iPhone 5s, still managed to outsell every Blackberry, every Windows Phone and every Android flagship in the winter quarter, including Samsung's Galaxy S4.

Rumors from the Far East on Friday claim Apple will soon refresh its MacBook Air lineup and may introduce a slimmed-down 12-inch fan-less version with a new trackpad design that does away with the current mechanical click button component.

In a supposed bid to bolster declining iTunes music sales, Apple is in talks with major record labels to launch a Spotify-like on-demand streaming service, as well as an official iTunes app for the Android mobile operating system.



Samsung's Galaxy S4 displaced other Androids in U.S. but iPhone 5 adoption still faster

A new report on North American adoption of smartphones found iPhone 5 gained users the fastest, building upon Apple's lead in U.S. and Canadian market share, but that Samsung phones displaced other Android devices, giving the Korean giant a plurality of Android's user base.
