Apple wins temporary reprieve in e-books damages trial as U.S. appeals court to consider stay

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on Friday issued a brief order agreeing to consider Apple's motion for a stay of the upcoming e-books damages class action suit leveled by 33 states and a group of consumers.









Apple's $44 billion in stock buybacks have helped increase market cap by $100 billion

Apple's capital return program, focused on buying back stock, does appear to have had a favorable impact on Apple's share price. After spending $44 billion on stock buybacks over the past four quarters, Apple's stock has risen 29.2 percent or $129.28, a contribution that moved the company's market cap from $392 billion a year ago to $492 billion today, even as the company removed 80 million shares from circulation.









Apple rolls out iPhone 5 sleep/wake button replacement program in U.S. and Canada

Apple on Friday launched a replacement program for faulty iPhone 5 sleep/wake buttons after finding a "small percentage" of units manufactured before March 2013 include parts that may stop working.
