The iPad Pro is very much the center of attention right now, and while Apple wouldn’t want it any other way we’re sure that it would rather the only news be good news. Unfortunately, that’s rarely the case, and Apple’s new tablet has one or two issues to contend with.
One of those is the issue we told you about recently which sees some iPad Pros effectively refuse to work once they have been plugged in to charge for a while. Some users reported iPad Pros that wouldn’t turn on or wake up following a charge, with the only rectifying course of action being to force the device to restart. Now, Apple has posted a support document to address this very issue and the fix is exactly what we thought it might be.
According to the support document, users with iPad Pros that become unresponsive following charging should force a restart, as we mentioned previously, in order to get the machine to work again. While not a full fix, Apple does note that it is aware of the issue and is presumably working on a more elegant, if not more permanent fix to an issue that we imagine is rather irritating to those that it affects.
Learn what to do if your iPad Pro doesn’t respond when you press buttons or tap on the screen, and the screen is black. To get back to using your iPad Pro, force restart it by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.Apple is aware of this issue and is investigating.
Good to know Apple. Good to know.
