Apple Smashes Samsung over Christmas Posted: 30 Dec 2014 08:53 AM PST Apple's commanding hold over the mobile industry continued and even strengthened over Christmas, and considering the blistering start to life enjoyed by the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, it's hardly a surprise. Several analyst firms have shown Apple's products vastly outperformed rival companies through a myriad of statistical analysis, while the iPhone 6 Plus even put a dent into the Cupertino's own iPad, with tablet sales plummeting across the board. Now, analytics company Flurry has studied device activations over the Christmas period and found that Apple's iOS products accounted for 51.3% of all activations around the world from December 19th to December 25th. Samsung trailed in second with 17.7%, Nokia third (5.8%), Sony fourth (1.6%), and LG fifth (1.4%).

Apple 14-Day Return Policy App Store and iTunes Posted: 29 Dec 2014 03:56 PM PST Cupertino has introduced a 14-day no questions asked return policy for all content bought on iTunes, App Store, and iBooks, accounting for all purchases for those services in the UK, Italy, Germany, France, and a number of other EU nations. Previously the terms and conditions read "without charge and without giving any reason until delivery of the product has started." That basically means once the content had started downloading there was no way back. |
