With the availability of so many Twitter clients for iOS, you may think that there is no space left for new offerings, but Tweet7 managed to dig in with its gesture-based interface, simple menus and buttons and the matching fonts.
This app provides a new navigational experience with just a single button on the screen and no menu items. It can be used to see the direct messages, timeline, mentions and profile.
How to Use Tweet7 for iPhone
After downloading and installing the app on your device, you get to see the main feed upon the main interface, while rest of the options can be bought up by swiping from the right corner of the screen.
The three sections present in the right menu are for direct messages, profile and mentions, and swiping to the left of them will enable the relevant action.
The app also presents inline image views that present pictures in a large and beautiful view, and this option can also be turned off depending on preferences through the Settings menu.
You can tap on any of the tweets in the main feed/timeline to see options to retweet, favor a particular tweet or comment on someone with a retweet. Your profile page also includes all the lists in the app.
The search field is available at the top of the screen while the Compose button sits at the bottom of the screen allowing users to tweet quickly.
While the app does lack important features such as the ability to see trending tweets, Tweet7 is a great option if you don’t use the advanced features anyways.
Final Verdict
Tweet7 is completely gesture-based and you’re likely to love its minimal interface. The app was also recently updated and now includes Tweet Market integration – a feature that lets you sync reading position between the app itself and other clients for Twitter.
Other features added include ability to see inline images in full view and anywhere within the app, undo retweet from the profile, hide the compose button, email tweets, mention someone in replies and receive credit in the retweet with comment option.
You can download Tweet7 for $2.99 from the App Store. Feel free to share your experience if you try it out.
