Fix Passcode Issue After iOS 8 / 8.1 Jailbreak With Pangu8 and Cydia [Video]

We all love when a jailbreak comes out but the bugs and problems are what we don't want. This post has been designed to help you fix the Cydia Passcode boot loop issue that has arisen iOS 8.x has been jailbroken using the Pangu8 jailbreak too. This fix will work on the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch and we have included a video just to make things easier. We really do need to point out, that the current version of Cydia and Pangu8 are not ready for primetime yet and this is why we are seeing a lot of issues. We recommend that you only follow these guidelines if you are an advanced user and have prior knowledge of SSHing into an iOS device. As always make sure that you do a full backup of all your data before you begin.

Before you do anything, you need to restoer your iPhone or iPad to iOS 8.1 and then jailbreak using Pangu8. We posted on this earlier in the week. Once you have the jailbreak complete, you need to install OpenSSH from the Pangu app. Next you will need to download the two files that are needed to install Cydia. This is all shown in the video below so don't panic if you don't know what files to download. Once you get to here the next thing yo uneed to do is simply SSH into your device using Cyberduck and paste the files you downloaded for Cydia into this location: var/root/Media/Cydia/Autoinstall. If this location doesn't exist, you will need to create it.

The next thing you have to do is reboot your iPhone twice. You will notice that the Cydia icon appears on your home screen but don't run it yet. You now have to download the fix for the Passcode boot loop issue and then SSH into your device again and go to /usr/libexec/cydia. Delete the move.sh file from here and replace it with the one you just downloaded. The last thing you have to do is go to /User/Library/Caches/ and delete the LaunchServices-XXX.cssstore file. The XXX will be any three random numbers. Reboot and launch Cydia. Wait for it to prepare the file system and other stuff and once it is ready, just head to your Settngs app and set any Passcode you like.
