The upcoming Steve Jobs biopic starring Michael Fassbender has been filming scenes recreating the unveiling of the first iMac.
Steve Jobs revealed the first iMac on May 6, 1998 while still the interim CEO of Apple. Scenes depicting this reveal were shot recently in San Francisco, according to images first appearing on AppleInsider:
In the scenes filmed, banners featuring Apple's iconic "Think different" campaign can be seen, along with ads showcasing the iMac name and Apple logo.
The film will also feature scenes from the launch of NeXT. Jobs launched NeXT in 1988, following his exit from Apple in 1985.
Steve Jobs is being directed by Danny Boyle with a script from Aaron Sorkin. In addition to Michael Fassbender as Jobs, the film stars Seth Rogen as Steve Wozniak, Jeff Daniels as former Apple CEO John Scully, and Kate Winslet as Joanna Hoffman, a member of the original Macintosh team. The film is expected to be released on October 9.
