If your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch’s battery is draining uber fast after updating to iOS 8.4.1, below are some things that might help you fix the problem.
Hard Reboot Your iOS Device
The very first thing you want to try is hard rebooting your iOS device to see if this fixes the problem. To do this all you have to do is hold down both the Power and Home buttons together till the device powers off completely and then restarts automatically. You need to let go of the buttons once you see the Apple logo appearing on your screen.
Reset All Your Settings
This is another tip that we have heard helps resolve the problem. Doing this will reset all your iOS setting back to factory default, but please note, your data will NOT be erased. To do this all you have to do is launch your Settings app and then go to General > Reset > Reset All Settings.
Restore and Do a Clean Install of iOS 8.4.1
If you updated your firmware via OTA this may have caused the problem. It can happen that OTA updates can cause issues. A clean install of iOS 8.4.1 via iTunes can help to fix your problem. To do this you will need to download the iOS 8.4.1 firmware files for your device. Next you will have to plug your device into your computer and launch iTunes. Next hold down the Shift key (Windows) or Option/Alt key (Mac) and then click on the Restore iPhone button. Select the firmware file you want to use to initiate the Restore process.
Downgrade to iOS 8.4
If nothing else works, the last resort is to downgrade to iOS 8.4 and see if that fixes your battery drain problem. Fortunately, iOS 8.4 is still being signed by Apple, which means you can still downgrade at the moment.
