It has been a very busy week in the jailbreak community with loads of new and updated tweaks and themes. Designers are very eager to tease and release their hot new themes for free or with affordable price tags. I am also very busy in trying out these tweaks and especially themes as I am getting bored for those updated from iOS 6 base or awaiting for new updates for those that I own for more icons and excitements. Recently iSkeuos designed by Paarth (a.k.a iPhoneiHelper) caught my attention on Cydia and Twitter.
The theme now supports over 135 icons that are crafted from the ground. It also comes with 5 nice wallpapers, Classicdock, mask, overlay and shadow. What is more, it also themes Safari App UI, Message bubbles, keyboard and gratefully Control Center toggles and other parts of it.
The first feeling to me on this theme is rough and tough. The icons are designed in great details and depth. The wallpapers are great and completely matching with the colorful icons. You can also use the wallpapers with stock iOS 7 icons and they look good too.
In my opinion it looks better without shadow enabled. But to get unified experience of icons, it is wise to turn on the overlay.
The designer is also very friendly and devoted to his theme with strong willingness to support and improve it over time.
Recently iSkeuos pushed out a major 1.2 update with more icons, retouched icons and overlay which is really fast since it has been released. One drawback for me is its dependency on Iconomatic. I personally have some issues with the animations but after enabling the shadows or overlay. Hopefully Paarth can consider removing it and put it as voluntary for normal users.
For support or icon requests, you can go to the Modmyi forum or follow the designer on Twitter @iSkeuos.
iSkeuos is already available on Cydia’s Modmyi Repo for $2.50. Please do not pirate, support genuine design and respect the effort spent on every pixel.
