Tweaks Available on Cydia with iOS 8.3 Jailbreak

On Tuesday we saw the release of a brand new iOS 8.3, 8.2, 8.1.3 jailbreak by TaiG. This is fantastic news for all those people who have been stuck without their favorite Cydia tweaks. They have waited patiently and now the weight is over as they rush to update their firmware and jailbreak all over again. It’s not just as simple as this, and those who update their jailbreak will want to know that their favorite tweaks and apps are going to be compatible.

The TaiG team have just released this new jailbreak that supports iOS 8.1.3 all the way through to iOS 8.3. Because this is a brand new jailbreak there could be a short waiting period before all the tweaks on Cydia get updated. This means that at least in the short term, jailbreakers using iOS 8.3 may find some unexpected behaviour when using certain tweaks and apps.

To help you out, we have a list of tweaks that have been tested with iOS 8.3 and have been proven to be compatible. If you use this list it will help you to avoid those unwanted crashes and resprings that are often caused by a tweak that isn’t quite ready for the latest version of iOS. We would recommend that you take a look at this list and make sure that the tweaks you want are supported before updating to iOS 8.3 because you don’t want to risk taking a functioning jailbroken iOS device and bricking it by updating a few days too early.

The release of TaiG 2.0 jailbreak for iOS 8.1.3 to 8.3 is massive and we expect that tweak developers will be working around the clock to make sure their apps and tweaks are updated and compatible with all versions of iOS. Once Saurik has updated Substrate for iOS 8.3 you can expect a lot more jailbreak tweaks to start working on the latest firmware.

Here is our list of proven and tested iOS 8.3 compatible tweaks on the Cydia store.
