Smile Software, the developer behind TextExpander and PDFpen Scan has released PDFpen 2 for iPhone and iPad, a new app, separate from the original PDFpen. It lets you mark up, edit, sign, and fill out PDF documents. PDFpen 2 requires iOS 8 or later.
PDFpen 2 gives you powerful editing options. In addition to marking up a document with hand-drawn lines, you can add text and images, and even resize, move, and delete existing images in a document. You can fill out forms, and PDFpen 2 can even designate a special signature field.
You can use iCloud Drive and Dropbox to store and retrieve documents, along with Evernote, Google Drive, WebDAV, FTP, and iTunes. You can even set up a Transporter drive if you have one. If you need to, you can use PDFpen to create a document on a black, lined, or graph background, or from a photo. Share you documents via email, AirDrop, or Wi-Fi.
Unlike the original, PDFpen 2 is a universal app, one purchase for iPhone and iPad. You can download it now from the App Store.
