How To Add New Emojis to Stock iOS Keyboard on Jailbroken iPhone and iPad

We all know that when it comes to customizability, Apple’s iOS falls short. In their eyes, it is not something that we should all be able to do. They also feel that this isn’t a bad thing either and in some areas we tend to agree. In some others though, a little more flexibility would really come in handy.

Today we want to tell you how you can customize the stock Apple emojis on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Something as simple as changing the default emojis that are available via the stock Apple keyboard may seem like a great idea but, Apple won’t actually allow you to do this. You could use a third party keyboard which is something that Apple does allow, but if you want to make changes to the stock keyboard that come with your device, you are going to need to be jailbroken. Once jailbroken, adding new emojis is easy to do and to help you out we have a simple guide below.

In fact, it is so simple to do that all you need is one jailbreak app and the emoji bundle of your choice. Make sure that your iOS device is jailbroken because if not you won’t be able to do this. You can jailbreak up to iOS 8.4 using TaiG or PP jailbreaks and there are plenty of tutorials that will show you how to do just this.

The first thing you will need to do is launch Cydia and search for BytaFont 2. You are going to need to install this free tweak before you can do anything else. Once installed and your device has resprung, re-launch Cydia and search for “Emoji”. If you are running iOS 8.4, make sure that you choose the packages that have a (D) marking with their name. Once you have chosen the package that you would like to do you can just install it from Cydia. Once downloaded, launch BytaFont2 and tap on the “swap mode” button at the bottom. Now just hit the emoji button and select the package that you want to enable. Your iOS device will respring again.

After this just launch any app that will bring up your keyboard and switch to the emoji keyword. You should now be able to see all your new emojis where the stock Apple ones usually are. If you want to use a different package that you have also downloaded all you have to do is open BytaFont2 again and go into the “swap mode” and select the new package.

If you are a fan of emojis and you have a jailbroken iOS device, this is a great way for you to add even more fun to your keyboard. Be sure to let us know in the comments if you find some cool new emojis too.

CirDock: A Jailbreak Tweak That Adds Sleek Animations To iOS Dock

Most jailbreak tweak users know that one of the most useful features of iOS is the iOS dock. This gives users quick access to frequently used apps. If you are looking to give it a fresh new look, then this post is for you. We want to tell you about a brand new jailbreak tweak called CirDock which gives you the ability to add sleek animations to your iOS dock.

CirDock gives users a brand new way of interacting with their apps on the home screen dock by adding carousel animations to them. This tweak also provides you with different animation styles that you can choose between. These include cylinder, wheel, linear, cover flow and more that you will find in the settings of this tweak.

What’s even more interesting about this new tweak is that it gets rid of the four apps-limit of the dock, allowing you to add as many apps as you like. It also allows you to switch between three different types of docks that carry the default, favorite, and badged items. The “favorite” docks shows apps that have been marked as favorite while the badged items dock shows apps that carry a pending notification badge on them.

CirDock can be configured from the preferences pane in iOS setting and from there you can choose the apps that you would like to add to the dock and the animation effect that you would like them to have. From here you can also choose your customization options that allow you to remove the app icon labels and badges and add an indicator to apps that are active in the background. To switch between the different types of docks all you have to do is tap and hold on the current dock. There is also a black label in the left corner that tells you what type of dock you are currently using.

One of the great things about CirDock is that you can export or import your configuration settings which will allow you to simply pick up with the same setup on the same device at another time. The developer for this tweak is also planning on adding some new features in the next update which should include an auto-hide option for the dock, and the ability to close an app with a swipe up or swipe down gesture.

This little tweak is really great and the ability to switch between different types of docks is probably the best selling feature. If you would like to test it out you can get it on Cydia’s BigBoss repository for just $1.50. If you do buy it be sure to let us know in the comments what you think and how well it performs for you.

How to Un-jailbreak iOS To Stock Using Cydia Impactor

If you have ever wondered how to un-jailbreak your iOS device back to stock without updating to the latest version, this post is for you. Cydia Impactor has been released and it is for all those users with jailbroken devices. It allows you to restore iOS to stock setup without using the “Restore” functionality in iTunes, without updating your iPhone or iPad to the latest version of iOS firmware. It also helps to ensure that you don’t lose the ability to jailbreak your device on all the same versions of iOS.

In today’s post we have a step by step guide on how you can un-jailbreak iOS on your jailbroken iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using Cydia Impactor. There are some important things that you need to be aware of first. Cydia Impactor is only compatible with iOS 8.4 and iOS 8.3. It will work with all iPhone, iPad and iPod touch models except the brand new iPod Touch 6. It is also worth noting that currently this is a beta release of Cydia Impactor.

The first step of course will be to launch Cydia and install Cydia Impactor. Make sure that you backup all of your data to either iTunes or iCloud. The next thing you will need to do is turn off “Find my iPhone” from Settings > iCloud > Find My iPhone. You will need to plug in your device and make sure that it is more than 50% charged. Once you have this done you will need to launch Cydia Impactor. Tap on “delete all data and unjailbreak device” which you will find at the bottom of the screen. Next tap on “delete all”.

The unjailbreak process will now begin and all that is left for you to do is be patient. You have to wait for the process to complete and this can take some time depending on how much data you have on your device and the number of jailbreak tweaks you have installed.

Once the process has completed, the jailbreak, all the data, and all of the settings will be completed removed from your device. It will go back to stock and the original setup that your device came with. You will be greeted with the familiar looking “hello” welcome screen of iOS from where you can set up your device and activate it again.

If you want to jailbreak your device again you can do it by using either the TaiG or PP jailbreaks that are available. Below is a great video tutorial that we found on un-jailbreaking so be sure to let us know what you think in the comments.
