Jailbreak iOS 8.4 Now on PC and Mac With PP and TaiG

This week it's all about jailbreaks and fixes for those with Apple devices. Cydia has had an update too and with Cydia 1.1.23 came two major new features as well as some bug fixes. The TaiG jailbreak was updated to 2.4.2 to fix the "jailbreak stuck at 30% and 40%" issue that a lot of people were reporting. We also had the release of the GameBench report that compared Apple's iPhone 6 with the Samsung Galaxy S6 and it looks like the iPhone 6 outperforms in the high-end gaming benchmark test. A new report by Canaccord was also released that shows the Apple's iPhone now owns 92% of all smartphone market profits. All in all it has been a great week for idevice users and below is some more detailed information on these stories.

With the new version of Cydia, 1.1.23, users have the ability to downgrade packages to the last stable release and this can be done very easily. They can also downgrade to any previous version of the ssame package as long as it is available in the repository. This means that whenever a tweak causes issues, all you have to do is downgrade back to the older version. This can be done by tapping on Modify > Downgrade from the tweak's page on Cydia.

The Second major feature added to Cydia today is a tweaks discovery feature which is actually inspired by TweakHub. On the main Cydia page, you will now find a new option for “Find Extensions for Applications” which will basically present you a categorized list of all the possible Cydia Substrate based tweaks available in Cydia to customize or enhance the stock or App Store apps installed on your iPhone or iPad.

Apple has also released iTunes 12.2.1 for Mac and Windows. This version is packed with bug fixes and performance enhancements. You are probably aware that the previous version had some serious issues with iTunes Match and other features that were introduced with Apple Music. This new release promises to fix these issues.

The first iOS 8.4 jailbreak tool for Mac OS X was released today and it is called PP and this jailbreak comes from the Chinese team 25PP. PP jailbreak supports all iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices running iOS 8.4 all the way back to iOS 8.1.3. You can download the English version of PP jailbreak for Mac OS X which comes with Cydia 1.1.20 pre-installed. PP jailbreak requires a Mac running at least OS X version 10.7 or above to work.

If you are looking for a jailbreak for your iPhone or iPad, you now have a number of options avialable to you. You can use the TaiG jailbreak or the PP jailbreak depending on whether you have a PC or Mac.
