BlackBerry is trying to woo unhappy iPhone owners (is there such a thing?) and is using a cash bonus to encourage them to switch platforms. This new "trade-up"program is part of the company's recently announced holiday deals.
According to BlackBerry, its trade-up program is for current iPhone owners who want to "work wide" on a BlackBerry Passport. The manufacturer is offering up to US$550 for customers willing to trade in their iPhone for a BlackBerry Passport. The promotion extends to the iPhone 4s, 5, 5s and 6 with the offer amount based on the condition of the phone.
The trade-in program begins on December 1 and runs until February 13, 2015. It is available to all iPhone owners in North America.
