iPhone 6 undergoing final regulatory checks in China

iPhone 6

The wait for an iPhone 6 in China may be coming to a close, as Chinese regulatory authorities have mentioned that the device is in final stages of review for approval. Head of China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) Miao Wei had this to say in an interview with Tencent:

The iPhone 6 has entered the final stage of the approval process, now it's just a matter of time. Netizens, please wait patiently.

When China wasn't listed in the first wave of countries set to receive the iPhone 6, there was speculation that Apple had run into difficulties securing the necessary regulatory approvals. This does not seem to be the case, as Wei confirmed that the results of the regulatory findings would be published "very soon".
