SwiftKey Keyboard app for iOS 8 tops 1 million downloads in less than 24 hours




One of the great new features iOS 8 brings to the table is support for third-party keyboards. Underscoring iOS users' excitement about that feature, two third-party keyboard apps (from Swype and Fleksy, respectively) already sit atop the App Store's list of top paid apps.


Third-party keyboard apps are also infiltrating the App Store's list of top free apps where the SwiftKey Keyboard app currently occupies the top ranking. What's more, SwiftKey confirmed to MacRumors earlier today that the app reached the 1 million download threshold in less than 24 hours.
