You might be someone who gets projects done far before their due dates arrive, regardless of the number of things at hand.

Or someone who likes to look at how many days are left till a project is due before you consider taking action.

The second group of people are deadline driven, and if approaching due dates are what drive you to work, then Next Deadline is an app for iPhone that is made for you.

The app lets you add up to four projects and each project have multiple tasks added. Each of those tasks are accompanied by a deadline and the screen of the app arranges the deadlines based on the nearest deadline.

How to use Next Deadline for iPhone

After downloading and installing the app, you will see three projects already added so you can understand the working of the app. The projects are sorted to according to the next due task.

On the main interface, you can swipe between tasks under projects to view the previous or next one.

To mark a task as complete, you can tap on it. And to view all tasks under a project, you can tap the name of the task. Each task displays how many days are left until it should be completed so whenever you see the app, the next due task is at the top.

The app tells you how many days are left before the deadline. To add a new task in a project, you can tap the arrow and then click Edit to add a new task. There will be a due date and description for each task.

The plus button at the left lets you add a new project. You can name a project and tapping the little box lets you select a color for its title bar. Then you get to add tasks and tap done when you complete.

Final thoughts

Next Deadline does not remind you to get started on a task. However, it tells you how far away the deadline is, so it is created to make sure you don’t miss due dates, even if you realize you’re just a day away from the deadline.
